The Dental Advisor Recognizes Lumineers By Cerinate With Five Pluses

LUMINEERS™ BY CERINATE® continues to be the hottest topic of The Dental Advisor with its recent award of five pluses. LUMINEERS have taken the dental industry by storm because they do not require the removal of sensitive tooth structure, offering the only pain-free and permanent cosmetic enhancement procedure available today. The renowned trade publication’s May 2005 issue revered LUMINEERS for its strength and versatility. The evaluation proved that LUMINEERS can be placed with minimal to no tooth reduction, as recommended by manufacturer Den-Mat, or with traditional tooth preparation.

In addition, 100% of the restorations rated very good to excellent. All restorations fabricated exhibited excellent esthetics and the shade match was accurate to the shade requested. All the restorations revealed ideal marginal integrity. None of the restorations were returned to the laboratory for adjustment or re-fabrication. Plus, all restorations maintained a glossy surface and no wear patterns were noted after a year of function. The dual-barrel syringe with mixing tip dispenses the material neatly and directly into the restoration of the tooth. The short tip provides adequate mixing of the base and catalyst without excessive waste. Post-op, little sensitivity was noted and microleakage was not observed in any of the restoration.
